A Day of Joy, Heart and Seriously Good Vibes
Katie & Joshie

Their Love Story
Katie and Joshie’s story began in the heart of Darwin, where two worlds collided in the most unexpected way ... at a party, with a shared love for gaming, laughter, and a particularly bold fashion statement involving galaxy-print pants and a psychedelic cat shirt. And if that’s not a sign of true love, I don’t know what is.
It was one of those stories that felt like it was always meant to be. Even before they met officially, they were photobombing each other’s photos. The universe had been throwing them together for years, and when the moment finally came, it was electric.
From long chats to overseas adventures (including a proposal in a manor house in England with a rogue hen in attendance ... yes, really), they’ve built a life rooted in friendship, laughter, and unconditional love.
A Little About the Celebration
Their wedding day at The Lakehouse Folk was the definition of heartwarming. A peaceful spot tucked in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, the setting matched Katie and Joshie’s energy: calm, connected, and effortlessly beautiful. There was a natural glow (both in the light and the vibes), and their guests were treated to a ceremony that was full of emotion and belly laughs. Katie was walked down the aisle to a sea of tears and applause, and every part of the day felt exactly like them.
Their ceremony, led by the incredible Stacey Morris, was packed with personal touches and heartfelt stories, like Joshie’s quiet decency standing out in a Darwin pokies room, and how Georgia played the ultimate wing-woman role.
The speeches were equally moving, from heartfelt words about competitive sibling rivalries to memories of wild overseas adventures and spontaneous moments of love. Honestly, it was the kind of day where every single person felt the magic.
Why The Lakehouse Folk is Perfect for a Wedding
