Selah Valley Wedding.
A 14-Year Love Story Sealed With Sushi, Stars & So Many Feels
Skye & Tyson
Their Love Story
Skye and Tyson’s wedding wasn’t your typical “beginning of forever”, it was a celebration of 14 years already lived side-by-side. From teenagers with side fringes meeting at a local gig, to grown-ups navigating life’s highs and lows with patience, laughter and late-night sushi, this love has always been more marathon than sprint.
Their second-ever sighting was in Big W (yes, really), where time seemed to blur and the universe whispered, “There you are.” Tyson thought Skye looked like an emo angel. Skye thought Tyson had the best haircut she'd ever seen. He thought it was a prank. She just knew.
They’ve built a love that’s deeply felt, fiercely loyal, and occasionally involves shared pimple-popping and baby talk fluency. It's weird. It’s wonderful. And it’s so them.

A Quote from the Vows
“I promise to always dance with you in the kitchen until we are old and grey, even if it’s just this one.” – Skye
“You are my home, the sail of my ship. Together, I know we can weather all that life has to offer.” – Tyson
That’s not a tear, you are crying.
A Little About the Celebration
Skye & Tyson’s ceremony at Selah Valley was nothing short of magical. Set against the backdrop of lush rolling hills and golden light, their celebration felt like a rom-com and a tear-jerker rolled into one.
With personal vows that were both poetic and wildly funny (Skye blacked out mid-legal line and Tyson got called out for his many middle names), their love filled every inch of the valley. There was laughter, there were tears, there were promises to dance in the kitchen until they’re old and grey. And when they finally kissed, after 14 years and an 17 -month engagement, there was a standing ovation.
Honestly, they could’ve ended the night right there, but thank goodness they didn’t.
Why Selah Valley is Perfect for a Wedding
Selah Valley is what you get when you blend serene nature with soul-stirring beauty. Tucked away in the countryside, it’s the kind of place where every corner looks like it was made for moments that matter. Vows, happy tears, first kisses, and barefoot dance floors.
With open skies, peaceful vibes and that perfect mix of intimacy and grandeur, Selah Valley was the dream setting for Skye and Tyson’s wedding day. If you’re looking for a Queensland Hinterland wedding venue that gives you space to breathe, laugh and love, this is the one.
A Thank You to Skye & Tyson
Skye & Tyson, thank you for letting me be part of your beautifully chaotic, hilariously heartfelt, and downright magical day. Your wedding was real, rich with emotion, and full of weird in the best possible way. You’re proof that true love isn’t just about finding the perfect person, it’s about becoming that person for each other.
