Their Love Story
Phil and Amanda’s story started like many modern romances…
A dating app.
After matching, they met for coffee in Sandgate before taking a walk along the waterfront. What began as a simple first date slowly became the foundation of something incredibly strong.
Together they describe themselves as adventurous, playful and grounded. Qualities that shone throughout every moment of their wedding day.
When asked what mattered most to them, their answer couldn’t have been clearer.
It wasn’t the decorations.
It wasn’t the reception.
It was standing before one another, making promises that would last a lifetime, and sharing those moments with the people they love most.
A Quote from the Vows
Rather than traditional vows alone, Phil and Amanda chose to write deeply personal promises to one another.
Both vowed to:
* Love and protect one another.
* Encourage honest communication.
* Pray together.
* Worship together.
* Pursue God together wherever He leads.
* Put each other before themselves.
* Build a family centred on faith.
One beautiful moment came when Amanda accidentally laughed while saying she would “fight with you” before correcting herself to “fight for you.”
It was one of those perfectly human moments that had everyone smiling, reminding us that the strongest marriages aren’t perfect .. they’re real.

Some weddings are beautiful because of the location.
Others are beautiful because of the people.
Phil and Amanda’s wedding was beautiful because every part of their day pointed towards something bigger than themselves.
From worship songs echoing across the mountains to vows centred on faith, sacrifice and commitment, this wasn’t simply a wedding, it was a declaration before God, surrounded by the people who have walked alongside them.
