Some people spend years wondering if they've met the right person.

For Celina and Freddie, it only took a week sailing through the Greek Islands.

Their story began on 13 July 2019 in Athens, where Celina was travelling solo through Europe while Freddie had joined a sailing tour with friends. Surrounded by crystal clear water, sunshine and complete strangers, they found each other.

Freddie remembers meeting someone who laughed easily and could light up every conversation.

Celina's first thought?

"Wow... he has huge biceps."

A very reasonable first impression, really.

What neither of them expected was that one unforgettable week would completely change the course of their lives.

After saying goodbye in Greece, they spent the next 100 days living on opposite sides of the world, separated by more than 13,000 kilometres. For many couples that would be where the story ends.

For them, it was only the beginning.

Distance became resilience. Video calls became plans. Plans became plane tickets.

Eventually Freddie packed up his life and moved to Australia...

Together they navigated COVID, long distance, career changes and uncertainty. Along the way they built a successful business, bought investment properties, purchased their first home and welcomed Rosie into their little family.

Their relationship wasn't built on grand gestures.

It was built on choosing each other every single day.

Even the ordinary moments became extraordinary simply because they were together.

When Freddie proposed at Narrows Rainforest Retreat on the Sunshine Coast, everything came full circle. The quiet rainforest setting reflected exactly who they are as a couple. Calm, genuine and deeply connected.

Watching them promise forever at Spicers Clovelly Estate felt less like the beginning of a marriage and more like the celebration of a life they'd already built together.
