Their Love Story
When a love story starts in the operating theatre, you know it’s going to be unique. Laura, a theatre nurse, and Matt, an orthopaedic device rep, first met while working at Hillcrest Hospital. Matt was instantly captivated, and Laura… well, she may have “accidentally” needed help with paperwork more often than necessary just to spark conversation. That spark grew quickly into something real.
Between late-night cases, spontaneous dinners, and weekend getaways, they built a relationship around laughter, food, family game nights, and their beloved groodle, Pippa. These two are the kind of people who celebrate the small wins and dance through the chaos of life with grace, literally and metaphorically.
The proposal? Classic Matt and Laura ... under the Christmas tree, in matching pyjamas, complete with a handmade ornament engraved with the words: “Will you marry me?” Laura said yes immediately. And if you’ve ever met them, you’d know they’re the type of couple who would’ve said yes to each other 100 times over.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Noosa Waterfront Restaurant, a hidden gem tucked into the calm, leafy pocket of Noosaville. With the river breeze gently rolling in and the sounds of The Famos & Co playing in the background, guests were treated to a romantic and intimate afternoon.
The styling was everything Laura described in her initial enquiry. Timeless, elegant, with a cool mix of white, green, and black tones. Bloom and Bush created floral magic, and the team at RAW Stylist nailed the bridal look with classic elegance.
The energy of the day was light, relaxed, and full of joy. A real reflection of who Laura and Matt are. One of my favourite parts? Just how kind and present these two were with everyone. Absolute legends.
