Their ceremony took place at Laguna Grove, just moments from Rickys River Bar & Restaurant in Noosa, with the river glistening behind them and the soft coastal breeze adding its own commentary (including a few dramatic page flips during readings).
The celebrant invited Jess and Peter to take a moment to look out at their guests and it was one of those beautiful pauses that says everything. All the planning. All the years. All the chapters that led here.
There were heartfelt readings, including a moving poem written by Jess’s niece and nephew honouring her late brother Michael. It was one of those moments where the whole crowd felt connected not just to the present, but to the love that continues in memory too.
There were sweet ring exchanges (expertly delivered by their children), a perfectly timed “No running!” from the celebrant before the vows, and laughter sprinkled throughout, because that’s who Jess and Peter are. Joyful. Relaxed. Real.
And once the “You may kiss your bride” moment happened? The crowd was ready. Petals flew. Cheers echoed. And the ferry ride to the reception kicked off the next chapter of celebration in true Noosa style.
