Noosa Boat House Wedding
A Noosa wedding filled with heartfelt vows, Frangos Sundays & one heck of a love story
Amy & Chris
Their Love Story
Some couples just fit, and from the moment I met Amy and Chris, it was clear these two were completely in sync. Equal parts romantic, hilarious, and genuine. Their story began the way many modern love stories do… a Bumble match and a few cheeky cocktails later at an Indiana Jones-themed bar.
Chris remembers Amy walking in (20 minutes late, mind you) and lighting up the whole place with her energy. Amy remembers seeing him with a margarita in hand, dimples showing, ready to impress. The kind of first date that just feels right. They spent the next six hours chatting, laughing, and sealing the night with a kiss and never really looked back.
These two are thick as thieves. Whether it’s bingeing reality shows, arguing over rugby league rivalries (Roosters vs Rabbitohs!), or cracking each other up with their dry, dark humour, their bond runs deep. They call themselves “needy” in the best way — always asking “Do you love me?” a hundred times a day and heading to Frangos religiously every Sunday. It’s the little things that define their love.
Sneak Peak
A Quote from the Vows
“I promise to forever be your needy piglet, to tell you I love you a hundred times a day, to ask if you love me a hundred times a day, and to ask for Frangos every Sunday.” – Amy
That one honestly melted me behind the camera. These two don’t just do romance ... they do it their way, and that’s what made their vows so good. Playful, heartfelt, and completely personal.

A little about the celebration
Amy and Chris chose to tie the knot at Maison La Plage, with their ceremony set against the stunning Noosa backdrop, surrounded by 37 of their nearest and dearest. The intimate setup, emotional vows, and spontaneous giggles (shoutout to the veil drama!) made the whole thing feel like something out of a movie.
After the ceremony, they boarded a ferry with guests down the Noosa River at golden hour and let me tell you, the light was doing the most. The whole thing was pure coastal romance. Once they docked at Noosa Boathouse, it was party time! Speeches, dancing, and that signature Blue Vale combo of candid moments and all the feels.
why I love this wedding venue for weddings
Noosa is honestly such a dream spot for weddings. Between Maison La Plage and the Noosa Boathouse, you get the best of both worlds: an oceanfront ceremony location that feels like a destination wedding, and a reception venue right on the water with that relaxed, luxe vibe.
And don’t get me started on the ferry ride ... I mean, how iconic? It’s those little transitions that turn a wedding day into an experience. From a filmmaker’s perspective, it gives us layers to play with and opportunities to catch those golden candid moments you can’t fake.
If you’re planning a Noosa wedding, venues like these give you a perfect mix of elegance, intimacy, and coastal charm. And of course, we know how to make the most of every corner of Noosa for those cinematic portraits and real, unposed goodness.
a thank you message
To Amy & Chris. Thank you for being your beautiful, goofy, loved-up selves. Your day was a joy to be part of. From the vows to the ferry cruise to the dancing that kicked off the night, it felt like a front-row seat to something really special. I’ll never hear the word Frangos again without smiling.
