FACTORY 51 & KANGAROO POINT WEDDING, BRISBANE.

I’m stoked to finally share this Factory 51 wedding with you on my blog! From the minute Pia & Travis enquired with me back in May I knew this Brisbane wedding was going to be one for the books! If you found this blog through a google search for this venue, I assume you know how epic this place is.

FACTORY 51 WEDDING IN THE CITY OF BRISBANE

As teenager lovers, life separated Pia & Travis. 15 years later, they met up again and have barely spent a night apart since. They couldn't be any happier or more in love. They have a son 'George' who is just 10 weeks who they both adore and who their eldest son Harvey (Travis' son) loves to death. Their wedding was held on the Brisbane River and their reception at a rustic function restaurant, Factory 51. They hoped that their wedding would be simple but classy, nailed it!! They also hoped their film & photos would capture their love for each other but also their love for their family and friends. Can I just say how amazing the photos Keira captured from Its Fox And Bear are! Always a pleasure working alongside someone so chilled and talented.

From the moment I first meet Pia & Travis (on their wedding day actually, this happens quite often) I knew I was in for a fun day. The family welcomed me with open arms and baby George couldn’t take his eyes off me as I walking around capturing the beautiful candid moments of everyone getting ready. The incredible hair and makeup you see below was crafted by the lovely Emily Audrey (hair) and Paige Tanks (makeup).

One big thing Pia and Travis wanted to do was a first look. So, we organised Travis (with a gift in hand) to wait in an urban spray-painted alleyway in the heart of Brisbane. As Pia slowly approached Travis, Keira and I could feel the excitement and tension in the air as they got closer... & closer! I couldn’t help but feel stoked for them as they both shed a tear or two on how amazing these both looked.

The ceremony kicked off at the heritage listed Kangaroo Point Cliffs located at Kangaroo Point across the Brisbane River. Among all the Kangaroo Point wedding venues, Kangaroo Point Cliffs are remarkable especially because of the parkland and the stunning views of the Brisbane River. Please, if you look at one thing on this blog, have a listen to the heart felt vows these two love birds read to each other. You won’t be disappointed I made you 😉

Pia & Travis chose Factory 51 as their reception venue which is an outstanding urban wedding venue with a rustic industrial appeal. The relaxed vibe was set by the very talented guys from The New Black Band. Complements to the delicious food and very friendly staff at Factory 51. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Styling was by the peeps over at Brisbane Wedding Decorators and the incredible florals were by Amy from Daisy and co Flowers. Pia's beautiful gown was from Made with Love, White Lily Couture. Our amazing celebrant Natalie had the honour of naming these two husband and wife.

"Amazing! Absolutely Amazing! His dedication, professionalism, and creativity he provided throughout the entire process was seamless and easy. Ed was very responsive to any questions and concerns we had along the way which was very reassuring. On the day, Ed was brilliant! He blended in with our guests; we hardly knew he was there and worked great with our photographer and other suppliers.

Our finish product (which wow, we received within a month) is far beyond our dreams. We had no words, just the ugly face crying emoji and multiple air fist pumps. Ed captured the emotion of our day which was EXACTLY what we asked for and wanted. The highlight film was perfectly tailored to include all of the best bits of the day but most importantly capture lots of our personal words from our ceremony and reception.

Without any hesitation, we would absolutely recommend Ed and Blue Vale Films to anyone. He's a great person, and immensely talented as a videographer.

For the final time, thank you, thank you, thank you!" - Pia & Travis

Thank you Pia & Travis for letting me be apart of your gorgeous family for the day and celebrate such a heart warming story. I adore shooting at this wonderful venue so if you’re planning a wedding at Factory 51 and you’re looking for a videographer, please get in touch.
