From the carefully curated gardens to the elegant reception space, Maleny Manor offered the perfect combination of sophistication and natural beauty, which perfectly matched Aya and Nathan’s personalities.

 

A Story of Second Chances

 

Aya and Nathan’s love story is one of serendipity and second chances. They first connected through an online dating app during the uncertain days of the pandemic. Life, however, got in the way, and they lost touch. Ten months later, fate intervened, and they matched again. Aya apologized for ghosting, and the two set up a breakfast date that changed everything. Nathan’s first impression of Aya was her warmth and graciousness, and Aya was instantly taken by Nathan’s humor and gentlemanly demeanor. From that first breakfast date, where they laughed over Nathan’s embarrassing toast mishap, it was clear that something extraordinary was blossoming.

 

Their journey has been filled with resilience, from navigating visa applications to Aya’s journey as a chef in Brisbane, and through it all, their love for each other only grew stronger.

Nathan’s vow, “I promise that I will always be by your side, holding your hand no matter the challenge,” was a testament to his promise to be Aya’s partner through all of life’s ups and downs.

 

Aya’s vows were equally powerful. She borrowed a quote from The Song of Achilles, saying, “I would recognize you in total darkness, were you mute and I deaf. I would recognize you in another lifetime entirely, in different bodies, different times. And I would love you in all of this.” It was evident from her words that her love for Nathan is timeless, transcending all challenges and obstacles.

 

One particularly touching moment was Aya’s letter to her late father, expressing her wish that he could have been there to walk her down the aisle. The love she expressed for her father, along with the appreciation for Nathan stepping into a protector role, was a truly emotional highlight that brought tears to everyone present.
